I recently stayed at a hotel in Otorohanga and had a fantastic experience. the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, making me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. Secondly, the location was perfect for my needs, with easy access to the glow worm caves in Waitomo. Lastly, the hotel was clean and well-maintained, with comfortable rooms and basic amenities. I especially appreciated the abundance of blankets and pillows, ensuring a cozy stay.
A slightly firm mattress.

We had a delightful experience staying in this holiday park. the location is perfect for those who want to be central to everything they want to do. We enjoyed taking a neat little walk by the lake and being really close to the railway line. the facilities were clean and updated, and the unit was cozy and comfortable. We also appreciated the on-site computer and internet access which saved us money. the lady at the reception was very welcoming and accommodating.
The walls of the unit were a bit thin and we could hear noise from the nearby smoking area, which was located on the wall of the kitchen.

I chose Kiwi Holiday Park for its proximity to the Otorohanga Kiwi House and Native Bird Park, which I had been wanting to visit. However, one feature that pleasantly surprised me was the availability of late check-in by prior arrangement. This made our arrival hassle-free and convenient. Additionally, I liked that the property was just a 10-minute walk away from shops, restaurants, cafes, and bars. The guest Grab bars near toilets and raised toilet seats provided extra safety and comfort. The 20-inch flat-screen TVs with satellite channels were also a great addition to our stay.
The only minor negative aspect was that when we arrived just after 2pm, we were told that our room may not be ready and had to wait for the cleaner. When we finally got to our cabin, the cleaner seemed annoyed that we were there.

I had a really nice stay at the holiday park. The cabin I stayed in was basic but good for the price. The facilities were well-maintained and clean, and I especially appreciated the availability of laundry services and the outdoor BBQ and kitchen. The showers were hot and free, a nice bonus. The location was great, with a supermarket nearby and the town center just a short walk away.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful, providing us with maps and recommendations on places to visit. The facilities were excellent, including the shower with nice water pressure. The location was ideal, being close to both the caves and the shops on the 'high street'. it was conveniently situated right next to the railway, and we were able to enjoy a delicious meal at the local Indian restaurant, Castle 91, just a short walk from the hotel.
Nothing to fault.

The location was very central and close to many local attractions. the complementary Wi-Fi was fast and easy to connect. the complementary tea and coffee were a nice touch and helped me start my day.
The noise level was unbearable. the walls were thin, and the constant traffic noise kept me up all night.

Compact but clean and modern room with all the essential facilities we needed for our city break. The location was very convenient for sight-seeing, with many key attractions within walking distance. We particularly enjoyed the friendly and helpful staff who offered us practical advice on the local area.
The main downside of staying here was the lack of space in the room, which made it feel quite cramped at times. We also found the noise from the nearby road to be a bit of an irritation, especially at night when large trucks would rumble past and shake the room.

The hotel offers excellent value for money, with competitive prices compared to other accommodations in the area. The attention to detail is evident, with basic amenities provided in the rooms, such as comfortable beds and a TV. The location, conveniently situated near facilities like the 24-hour laundromat, adds to the overall convenience of staying here. Additionally, the staff are friendly and provide good service.
Minor improvements could be made in terms of cleanliness.

The location of this campsite is fantastic, with plenty of attractions nearby. It's just a stone's throw away from Otorohanga's shops on the 'high street', making it convenient for exploring the local area. Plus, there are two trampolines and play equipment for the kids to enjoy. The campsite is close to the main trunk railway line, which can be a unique point of interest for train enthusiasts. And if you're craving some delicious Indian food, Castle 91, the local restaurant, serves the best Chicken Tikka Masala around.
The cleanliness of the facilities is not up to par. Some guests have reported stained towels, greasy dishcloths, and mold spots on the curtains.
